I first started to work with large format film cameras around 2007. I had purchased several Graflex cameras including both 4×5 Speed Graphic and View Graphic cameras. I would experiment with both of them using sheet film and various roll film backs.
Most of the photographs I took at this time were documenting the old structures of White Mills, Pa. White Mills at one time was virtually the capital of the leaded cut glass industry and was also on the Delaware and Hudson Canal.
One series of photographs that I have always been proud of is the interior of the lock keeper’s house prior to restoration. It took a whole morning to take 8 images of which 6 I was happy with and have included below:
